Linocut Series of Leith
Robert Marjoribanks is the studio director at Stampalofi Open Studio. His linocut series of Leith directly funds his open studio which supports beginner and intermediate printmakers to progress their practice.
Graduating from Gray’s, printmaking has followed Robertthroughout his practice informing a range of styles and experiments. Currently his project Stamalofi open studio based in Leith has given him the opportunity to share his curiosity with others.
His range of prints depicting Leith have found a good reception but his immediate interests have turned to the plant life that means the most to him. Bright contrasting colours celebrating the highly pigmented ink used in relief printmaking combined with bold structure found through drawing..
