The Abbeyhill Colonies are situated near the junction of Easter Road & London Road, in the east of the capital.

We recommend you arrive by bus or foot. Lothian Bus Services 1, 4, 5, 15, 19, 26, 34, 35 & 44 all stop at the Colonies.

ACCeSSIBILITY

The Colony of Artists takes place predominantly in private homes and gardens, many of which are historic properties and have not been designed or adapted for public access. Access varies considerably between venues and may include narrow or uneven garden paths, steps, steep staircases, gates and other features that may make access difficult or impossible for some visitors.

Colony of Artists organises and promotes the festival but does not own, manage or control the individual venues. We are therefore unable to assess, inspect or guarantee the accessibility of individual homes, gardens or routes, and cannot accept responsibility for access arrangements at individual venues.

Visitors should consider their own access requirements when planning their visit and should be aware that not all venues will be accessible to all visitors.
